Thank you for your continued encouragement, support and prayers. I am overwhelmed daily by the kindness from others. Thank YOU!
Once again I did not receive chemotherapy today due to one low number in my blood work. The rest of my blood work came back normal and I have had a pretty good week. My next infusion is now set for Monday September 14th and then the 21st. This will allow me to, Lord willing, make our planned family time away at a lake house in north western Washington, which some kind friends are allowing us to use!
Thank you for prayers:
~~~ For my body to recover.
~~~ For safe travels to and from the lake house (Wed 9th-Sunday 13th).
~~~ For my left hip which continues to be stiff and causes me to limp and walk with a cane.
~~~ For new sensitivities to light, which caused me to get a bad migraine recently and a few headaches since then. (I trying to stay off of digital media, to help with this.)
I am so thankful to the Lord as He walks me through this moment by moment journey. I am learning to follow his leading and not to get upset when plans change but to realize He is the Good Shepherd and knows what is best for me.
This is what the LORD says – – your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. Isaiah 48:17 NIV

He is walking you at His pace through this valley and it’s so encouraging to hear your sweet heart of submission in it all. May you continue to be strengthened and find relief from that hip pain. We are praying you can get away to the lake house at the end of the month. Will we get to see you sometime during our Seattle visit? 16-26. Perhaps we can talk on the phone if you’re unable to visit. Hello my friends, Thanks for the encouraging words. Yes, we hope to see you when you are here. I will be going through chemo so we will see how it works out. We had to cancel the lake house due to fires and thick smoke in the area where we were going to. Once again our hands are wide open before the Lord. Love you both and see you soon

Thanks Ginny. Yes, quite the journey. I am learning to not hold onto things, schedules, plans ….as tightly but entrust it all to the Lord. “The Lord directs our steps . How can anyone know His own way?” I am getting better at memorizing verses but not so good at remembering their addresses!

Debbie – You are probably in route to the lake house. I pray that this time there will be such a boost to you both as you enjoy this getaway! Praying for good rest and recovery, as well as for relief from the hip discomfort and limitations. Also concerning the light sensitivity and headaches, praying for resolution in this area.
I can only imagine how overwhelming this whole process is for you both. Praise God for your strong faith in your strong Lord,

Hello Kathy,
we had to postpone our trip to the lake house because of fires. The smoke is very bad, roads are closed, and air quality is hazardous.
Thank you for prayers for headache and light sensitivity that seems to be much better now.
