A Short Update (Monday, August 3, 2020)

We met with my oncologist this morning and neither he nor the radiologist think that the Lutathera treatment is working in the way they had hoped.

I will start chemotherapy this Friday.

Thank you for your continued prayers as I hold on to a verse I consider my life verse:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Hanging in there,

Debbie and Patrick

  3. Thank you for the update. So sorry to hear the oncologist doesn’t think the current treatment is working in the way they hoped. I will pray that chemotherapy will be effective and that you will see positive results, even though you may feel some side effects. Praying for both you and Patrick as you walk through this process together. Love to you both, Karen Johnson

  10. Prayers never cease. Your needs are our prayers. Strength, hearts full of love surrounding you & the precious O’Connor Family. What can we as mere mortals do, but trust the journey the Creator of the Universe has set us on.

May your journey not be what you might expect, as the One who holds you in the palm of His right hand leads.

Dear Debbie & Patrick and girls, The support you have received has been so wonderful to hear, along with that is a special verse from your loving Father….Deut. 33:27 “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.” Praying that your Father’s strong arms will support you all and carry you during these days.

  14. Dear O’Conners,
As a “cancer survivor,” I am so blessed, as I know you are, to read of the prayers, love, and support that are surrounding you! Add mine to the list. You and I have the same life verses, and they have proven true over and over in my 82 years.
Praying with you, especially on Friday. His love and mine,
