“The Lord your God is with you, HE is mighty to save, He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
Thank you, family and friends, for your ongoing prayers, notes of encouragement, and other expressions of love and support.
I am currently half way through round three of treatment and doing very well. My treatment was postponed a week due to low numbers so my infusion dates were scheduled for Monday, October 19th and the week of November 2nd . The fourth & final round of treatments are scheduled for November 16th and November 23rd, Lord willing. Keep praying for God’s perfect timing in all this.
The great news is that the results from the scans came back this month and for the first time there is shrinkage in the cancer. The oncologist was very encouraged by this and feels that I am responding well to treatment.
Please continue to pray for my left hip which has gotten worse and I have an appointment scheduled with the specialist for November 24th. Also pray for pain on the right side of my ribs not sure if I pulled a muscle or if it is the cancer.
This is a fun time of the year as all of us girls have birthdays! Kathryn the 24th, me on the 30th, and Sarah on the 1st of November. We have some fun plans to celebrate and praying that I will feel well enough to enjoy this time.
Please let us know how we can be praying for you. Patrick and I pray every morning for many of you who are going through your own challenges. We consider it a privilege to be able to return the blessing of lifting you up in prayer.
Love and Blessings,
Debbie and (Patrick too! 🙂
Happy birthday 🎁🎊🎈🎂🎉 Everybodeeeeee!

Dear Debbie & Patrick, and all the “Birthday Girls”
So glad to receive your good news and will continue to pray for the days ahead! Meant to write yesterday, but will continue think of you all as there is much to celebrate together! I, too, was in a Bible Study where we also sang hymns each time. One of our members was “famous” for reminding us of how the Lord sings over us! In the midst of so many sad issues in our world….this verse and truth brings much JOY!
Sending our love & prayers,
Jim & Becky

Dear Debbie & Patrick, Hello to you both, and how are you doing now, Debbie, in between these last two weeks of treatment? I hope well and we will pray that you are feeling well to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with your girls next week. I am sorry for our lapse in writing to you two, but we did rejoice with you for the good news in your last blog post (above), especially for shrinkage of your cancer, PTL!!! That IS very encouraging to hear and we Pray it continues to shrink, please dear LORD!! And we hope you did feel well to enjoy birthday celebrations, Debbie, especially yours! 🙂 God is good!!
We are well, thankfully!, as Covid #s rise and we continue to pray for God’s protection, but don’t want to live in fear. It was a great blessing for me to travel safely to and from NC when I went last month, and to enjoy our family there, especially new baby Jack, a special sweetie. 🙂 I was glad to get home and have been keeping busy. It’s a blessing to babysit for Amy and I will do that weekly when she starts working as a nurse at our Obria Medical Clinic on Dec. 2. She will be trained to do ultrasounds so that’s new for her. We know God will use her there. Gary continues working full-time or nearly that, at Safeway and is so faithful at his cleaning duties. We’re thankful to be able to attend church services, even as they get smaller now but we have 2 buildings and 2 pastors so they can each do 2 or 3 services a Sunday. We pray for them as that sounds exhausting!
So we will likely stay home next week and wait for another time to get up to WA to see my mom and family. She is disappointed but it’s hard to risk getting her sick, and getting stopped by police over Governors’ orders, oh my! Thankful we have some family here to celebrate with! Praying you do enjoy your family time, as I know you always do, and God bless you with a good week, Debbie, even as you finish treatment. Praying much with you all for more Healing miracles for you, and for all the help your doctors can give you. Praying for your hip appointment on Tuesday, to get good help for it, and I hope your rib pain has subsided and it’s not the cancer. You both take good care and know you are loved and prayed for! And for your friends in Honduras too, suffering from the Hurricane :(, we are sorry! Hope you can get there in the new year, Patrick, in God’s good timing.
Bye for now, and Love & hugs from both of us, Vicky & Gary
